| OpenVMS provides many utilities and tools to aid the system manager in administering OpenVMS systems. This module discusses four utilities used to monitor and manage specific aspects of OpenVMS operations. The information from these utilities and the configuration possibilities they provide entwine deeply with system performance and security management.
ACCOUNTING provides cumulative information about processing and resource consumption. The AUDIT analysis utility permits multileveled monitoring of access and actions. The INSTALL utility preloads information about images, speeding access, and shared images economize memory resources for frequently used programs. The SHOW CLUSTER utility displays copious cluster-specific information in dynamic screens or output can be directed or written to a file. |
